Time for another prize drawing! Every challenge that you submit gets your name into the drawing. This week's prize is a Barnes and Noble gift card. The drawing will be on Friday.
Read!
Challenge 1:
You can always choose what you want to read, but this week we recommend reading some fanfic at https://www.fanfiction.net. Many young writers like to build on existing characters and stories and are able to give new depth to heroes as they create their own stories. Who knows, you might read something from the next great YA writer. Just let us know that you read for at least 2 1/2 hours and you'll complete the challenge. If you choose this as your options, just select "Read" as your challenge when you're in the "submissions" page of this site.
Watch!
Challenge 2:
Watch a youtube video where someone has created a hero of their own, or put a new twist into a known story. An example would include "How It Should Have Ended" videos. If you choose this option, select the "Watch" challenge and tell us about the video that you watched in the comments box on the "submissions" page of this site.
Listen!
Challenge 3:
Choose a theme song for your favorite hero, your favorite book, or even yourself. Choose the "Listen" challenge on the "submissions" page of this site and tell us in the comment box why you chose the theme song that you did.
Do!
Challenge 4:
Create or describe your own hero. What powers do they have? Do they have a symbol? Do they have a 'catchphrase' that identifies them? What kind of costume do they wear? If you create a picture, upload it on the "submissions" page. Include information about your hero in the comment box. Choose the "Do" challenge on the "submissions" page of this site.
