Playing Instructions:
This one's easy - all you have to do is read, whatever you want, wherever you want - we won't judge. We can make lots of suggestions, or you can find ideas through sites such as, goodreads.com. Just let us know that you read for at least 2 1/2 hours and you'll complete the challenge. If you choose this as your option, select "Read" as your challenge when you're in the "submissions" part of the site.
Optional Activities:
Watch!
Find an online book trailer for a title that you are interested in. Watch the trailer and write a short summary of what the book is about and how the trailer might have influenced whether you will read the book or not. Choose the "Watch" challenge and submit your summary in the comments box on the "submissions" page of this site.
Listen!
Join sync at www.audiobooksync.com and download 2 free audio books per week for your listening pleasure. Let us know what book you listened to this week. Choose the "Listen" challenge and submit your book title in the comment box on the "submissions" page of this site.
Do!
Create a list of books that you would like to read this summer. Choose the "Do" challenge and submit your list in the comment box on the "submissions" page of this site.
- Start with reading. For every 2 1/2 hour that you spend reading, make a submission. There are 6 "Read" submissions for a total of 15 hours to finish the program. Collect a prize and put your name in the finale drawing box for every 5 hours completed.
- Add some optional activities. There are 6 each "Watch," "Listen," and "Do" choices as you work through the program. For each optional choice that you submit, we will put your name into the weekly drawing box.
- Extra chances at the weekly drawing. Every time you come into the library, add your name to the weekly drawing box.
