The first book I read of this series was Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu. I didn't know what to expect when I picked up the book, but I thought it would be fun to read a new superhero book. Well, I was surprised when it took me back to the beginnings of Batman's crime fighting days. Now, I haven't read every comic book out there, but I had never thought too much about how a superhero became a superhero. This book was a fun introduction to a familiar character.
The second book I read was Wonderwoman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo. Again, this book gives us a glimpse into the history of a popular character. It was fun to read about how Wonder Woman's view of life did not necessarily fall in line with her island history. She was meant to be a hero. This book is also on the Teens Top Ten nomination list and teens can vote for their favorite ten between now and October 13th.
The newest book in this series is Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J. Maas. I haven't read it yet, but I anticipate that we will get to see a bit of what made Catwoman the character that she is.
