Prisoner of War: A Novel of World War II by Michael P. Spradlin is about Henry Forrest as he faces the reality of WWII. He lied about his age to join the Marines and escape what he thought was a difficult life at home. But, when faced with the choice to die or kill, maybe he gets a new perspective on life. Then, his troop surrenders to the Japanese and he becomes a prisoner of war. Now, each day is one more day to survive and stay alive. If you enjoy war stories and historical fiction, maybe you would enjoy Prisoner of War.
I've always enjoyed historical fiction. I enjoy following the life of the characters within the context of real life. I have not read the book I'm talking about yet, but it is definitely on my to-be-read list.
