One of my all time favorites is Impossible, by Nancy Werlin. This is such a sweet love story that expresses what true love and commitment should look like. Our main character is faced with a curse that can only be broken by solving the riddle of "Scarborough Fair." As the story progresses, she finds that the riddle cannot be broken unless she learns to depend on those that reach out to her with real love.
Another favorite is a twist on an old fairy tale. Cinder is a cyborg living on a futuristic earth. The moon is inhabited by a race of people that have the ability to control the minds of those that look upon their beauty. The Queen of the moon wants to control earth by marrying one of the Princes of earth. Cinder gets in the way of the Queen's plans and it creates a fun story with several books in a series for those who like a continuing story. Cinder is by Marissa Meyer.
The first book in another series that is lots of fun and laughs is How to Ruin a Summer Vacation, by Simone Elkeles. Our main character thinks her life has been ruined when her father decides to send her to Israel for summer vacation. As she gets to know her grandmother and understand her heritage, she also gets to know a young man that changes her life.
Other books that you may enjoy along the romance theme include; The Eyes of a King by Catherine Banner, A Kiss in Time by Alex Flinn, The False Princess by Eilis O'Neal, The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley, The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black, and Aurelia by Anne Osterlund. I hope that you find an enjoyable read.
