An author that I have always enjoyed had a new book on the shelf, and I grabbed it quick. Not If I Save You First is the newest book by Ally Carter. This is a story of friendship, devotion, loyalty, and forgiveness. It's also a story of hatred and revenge. The contrast between the two carries this book as we are introduced to characters and see them grow and change. I highly recommend this book as a quick, entertaining, and make you think read.
The book I am currently reading is All Rights Reserved by Gregory Scott Katsoulis. This book is so interesting in light of the political discussion of freedom of speech that is a part of our culture today. What would our society be like if almost all words carried a price tag? Would we be as free with our words, or would we guard what we say? How would we react if we were charged with a crime for saving a piece of paper with words on it? I'm just getting started reading, but I am intrigued by the choice that our protagonist has made. I am wondering if she can keep up the resolve long enough to make a difference.
