The first book that I'll mention is by Trent Reedy. It is the second book in the Divided We Fall series. Its title is, Burning Nation. This series is set in the mountains of Idaho. It presents a very realistic picture of a government that is out-of-control and a state that questions the authority of those giving the orders. Who decides what is best for the people? What happens when the state government and the national government turn on each other?
Next is, Ensnared by A.G. Howard. This is book three in the Splintered series. This series is an Alice in Wonderland adventure. This series builds on the madness of an under-land world. This series deals with mental illness and the reality of the imaginary world created through that illness. Or maybe it's not so imaginary.
If you have been following the House of Night series by P.C. Cast, you will be excited to find another in the series of novellas. Kalona's Fall is the fourth in the series of novellas that accompany House of Night. If you enjoy vampire literature, House of Night is for you.
An author that has found his way into the hearts of readers is James Patterson. He has books in every area of the library, from children's to adult. The Lost is book five in the Witch & Wizard series. This series is set in a world of oppression where young people have been arrested and accused of being witches and wizards. Definitely a good choice for those who like books about magic.
There are so many series that I sometimes find myself behind. I certainly don't have as much time to read as I would like. I hope you can find something that interests you.
