This has been a very fun book and the characters become more recognizable as the story progresses. My one complaint is that there are some editing issues that I need to overlook, but it has been a fun read.
I am in the middle of a light-hearted twist on a fairy tale called Spelled by Betsy Schow. Over the past few years I have enjoyed several rewritten fairy tales. I have come to look forward to the versions put out by certain authors. But, this one is something new and different. Our main character is not, at first, recognizable from fairy tales. She is from the Emerald kingdom and has been locked up inside the palace in an effort to prevent the curse from ever taking place. If the curse comes to pass, the world as they know it will be destroyed by fire. As you can guess, the curse does take place and our protagonist must find a way to break the curse and return things to normal.
